Since it’s now fall, I thought we’d have a class to cover something that affects millions of people a year: falling.
As we age our strength diminishes - as does our sense of balance (they’re very much interrelated). As they diminish, our quality of life goes down, and we lose the mobility to go about our daily lives without aides - canes, a walker, or a wheelchair - and our chances of taking a fall go up dramatically - risking injury.
During this 45-60 minute class, along with learning techniques to take a fall safely - there will also be several strength exercises taught to help you build strength, mobility and develop your balance. These exercises are for anyone with at least average strength and flexibility, with discussion (and possibly demoing) the use of props (blocks, chair, wall, etc.,) for those with movement issues.
I hope you’ll join us for this live event! You’ll learn strength exercises and falling techniques that I’ve used to help clients build strength, resiliency, and balance and we’ll have some fun along the way!
